SURROGATE PARTNER THERAPY

A PERSONALIZED APPROACH TO RELATIONAL HEALING

Experiencing growth, acceptance, and love through intimate relationship with another human is one of the greatest joys and most deeply meaningful and transformative experiences a person can have.

Get your needs met.

  • Education.

Working through toxic cultural beliefs and attitudes you may have internalized around gender, sexuality, communication, and emotions will expand your capacity for joyous, authentic connection.

Embodying love, support, kindness, and acceptance in your personal relationships creates the necessary foundation for moving through the world in a good way.

  • Practice.

Surrogate partner therapy is a unique approach to healing these wounds that combines hands-on education, mindfulness practices, body-based exercises, and experiential guidance and support to teach you the skills that you need to relate intimately to another person in a way that is healthy and sustainable and allows for shared pleasure and erotic exploration.

Join me in developing the indispensable skills needed for sustaining healthy interpersonal relationships.

  • Safety.

As a surrogate partner, I form a temporary relationship with each client in service to their therapeutic goals. All clients also work with a therapist or clinician – the three of us form a team. In therapy, you talk about what comes up for you during and after your sessions with me – you process and integrate through talking about your relationship. In your sessions with me as a surrogate partner, you practice being in partnership – we engage in exercises that build social, emotional, and physical intimacy slowly over time. You get to practice actually being in partnership with another person in a way that prioritizes safety, self-regulation, consent, pleasure, and communication.

ACCEPTANCE

Many of us benefit from gentle support and guidance in building the skills necessary for sustaining loving intimacy with another human. The behaviors and practices that are needed to attract, build, and sustain a healthy intimate partnership aren’t taught through formal education, and if you didn’t see them modeled in your family or wider community and culture, you may not have acquired them.

TOGETHER,
WE WILL:

  • practice communicating with authenticity and integrity

  • learn to speak truthfully and with kindness

  • negotiate challenging situations with humility and compassion

  • relax and soften into uncomfortable and unfamiliar situations

  • develop the skills to set healthy boundaries

  • learn to listen deeply to yourself and your partner
